Grandpa's Shelters & Sheds was founded by Donald G. Smith of Dalton, Wisconsin.  We are a family owned and operated business, proud of our attention to quality, detail and customer service.

 

All of Grandpa's shelters and sheds are hand made in the heart of Amish country with an attention to detail worthy of old world craftsmanship, yet with an eye on innovation to assure you of the finest features of our time!

 

All shelters and sheds are not only fastened with screws but come in a variety of sizes, ranging from 8’ x 10’ to 12’ x 24’ for easy anchoring or moving, and are customized for a variety of needs.

 

We’ll customized to your specifications, offering many unique upgrades such as, a Tack, Feed, or Storage room, over hang, hands free clean-out feature, partitions, vents, doors, windows and variety of colors to choose from.

 

We use only commercial grade lumber, built on 6”x 6” treated skids that makes for easy anchoring and/or moving.  Not only are all skids treated but, are the 4” x 6” posts along with 2” x 6” tongue and grooved wood.

 

Each unit has reinforced walls to assure durability under the toughest of conditions to help keep your Horses, Livestock or storage items from harm.

 

We also, only use a premium gauge 26 metal with a G-Rib and R-Panel that meets Classified UL specifications in Up-Lift Resistance (UL 580), Impact Resistance  (UL 2218) and Fire Exposure (UL790).
